REMEMBERING CAPTAIN TOM

Today, at 11am we will be remembering Captain Tom.

Back last year, just aged 5, Tony was very reluctant to walk on his new legs. Seeing Captain Sir Tom Moore’s achievement of walking 100 laps of his garden using his frame to raise money for the NHS, Tony was in complete awe. Captain Tom’s determination and great spirit to give something back inspired Tony to set himself the challenge of walking 10km unaided on his new legs and crutches to raise funds for The Evelina London Children’s Hospital - the hospital that saved his life and provides vital care and kindness to thousands of children every day.

Although, sadly Captain Tom is no longer with us today, on this day of remembrance we will be thinking of Captain Tom and all other heroes who have protected and served our country, as Captain Tom once said "For all our tomorrows, they gave their today."

Tony is honoured to be on the 2020 Lionheart Squad alongside Captain Tom.
